The Frey Foundation Solo Scholarship is a need-based scholarship that supports qualified students who seek to solo an airplane while participating in the WMAA flight training program. The Ray Foundation Scholarship is a competitive scholarship offered to juniors ahead of their senior year in the flight program at West Michigan Aviation Academy. The scholarship is established to award students based on aviation merit who are pursuing a career in aviation beyond high school. Awarded funds may only be used for private pilot flight training at WMAA. Recipients will be announced at the annual Awards Assembly each year in June. The Secchia Family Service Scholarship is a flight training scholarship offered to juniors ahead of their senior year that awards students who are pursuing an aviation career rooted in service such as the military, mission field, law enforcement, AeroMed, air ambulance, or other. The Frey Foundation Private Pilot Flight Training Scholarship is a need-based scholarship established in order to support qualified high school seniors who are pursuing a private pilot license while participating in the WMAA flight training program. Applicants for this scholarship must have Free and Reduced Lunch status.

Students submit their application in their senior year for this scholarship. This scholarship will open in the fall of 2024.
